Door Entry Systems and Magnetic Swipe Cards
Whatever you need from access control, we can make it happen. From a simple, coded
lock on a single entrance door, to a multi-client networked system with hundreds of doors
used by thousands of people; from magnetic swipe cards managed by a single reader to a hands
free radio frequency identification device (RFID) managed by sophisticated, multi-tasking
network software, Spectra is already providing systems for national organisations and
enterprises.
Our door entry systems can be a simple single door, hardwired to a
reception point allowing remote speech communication to callers, or even
linked to your telephone network routed to your mobile phone anywhere in
the world, giving you control over gates, doors or car park barriers simply
using your mobile phone keypad; truly amazing technology, used by Spectra
every day.
We have the skill, training, dedication and engineering excellence to provide
the best value products and services. So whether you need proximity or
magnetic swipe cards – "Hands Free" - or just a simple codelock we have
technologies and units to suit all budgets.
Contact us for "old fashioned" courtesy and service alongside the very latest
technology with security products.

Maintaining quality in tough times
All companies and organisations be they in the public or private
sector are having to make savings and cut costs.
Small businesses, like Spectra, feel this effect quicker because
of our exposure to reducing credit limits, banking facilities being
altered, and reduction in orders. The obvious answer is to reduce
costs to our customers, to increase sales, but how to do this when
energy costs are soaring and bank charges and taxes have to be
paid?
Lots of organisations sacrifice product quality for cost, after all
many specifications are 'open ended' and if the product performs
a function then cheapest is best, isn’t it? Er, well, no actually.
Surely, best value and cost of ownership have a part to play,
for example, we have access control systems that
are working perfectly and were installed over 10 years ago. We continue to
service and maintain them, the choice of system for the customer
has given them almost the best cost of ownership in the industry.
So, yes times are tough. Cost is important, but we think cost of
ownership and getting the best value for the organisation is even
more important.
