CCTV camera

CCTV, or Closed Circuit Television, has become comonplace on Britain's streets for a very good reason - it helps prevent crime or trace the perpetrators. Many crimes have led to successful convictions because of the role CCTV has played. We have been installing CCTV for many years now, and know how to do it right, first time.

Many companies and large organisations in both the public and private sectors choose us for their CCTV needs. Why? Read on...

Many security companies install CCTV.

We have come to recognise cameras on our streets as commonplace, they are almost everywhere you look today.

We at Spectra recognise the part CCTV has to play in protecting staff, the public, and property, but feel that a more important role can be achieved by your CCTV investment, if the technology is used as part of an overall security strategy.

We employ the very latest cameras and associated equipment from the most innovative manufacturers. We aim to produce a complete package for our customers. By using specialist manufacturers and suppliers, we tailor and customise CCTV so as to fit exactly with our customers' needs and requirements.

An example of which might be, offering colour discreet cameras to cover an industrial process, allowing it to be monitored as well as helping to ensure the safety of persons who may be working within the area.

Our CCTV packages can even interface directly with our access control. An example might be, if someone activates an access control point by using a code, swiping a card or presenting a tag, then the camera can be pre-programmed to cover that point. additionally, the access control " image monitor" software can be activated to display a photo of the card holder so that a comparison can be made between the user and the person to whom the card was issued (especially useful in a high security application).

We are now regularly installing I.P. cameras. These devices have their own network address, which means they use your existing I.T. network system to send CCTV images across to the recording device. You can even view them on your networked P.C.

We have an I.P. CCTV camera for one of our customers who prints your national newspapers. They have our I.P. cameras viewing the newspaper presses in Lancashire but view the entire process 'live' in London.

Since each camera has its own internal 'browser' we can even view from any computer connected via the internet with the correct authorisation.
