Let us try and explain in perhaps an uncoventional way...
How do we ensure we are better than our competition ?
By asking ourselves that very question over and over again. The answer
is really quite simple. What level of service do we expect from the companies
we deal with for the products and services we purchase ?
At this point we will let you into a few little secrets. This is our
code of conduct as to how we set out our standards.
1. We will NEVER have a "Please press 1 for this or press
2 for that" type phone system.
We hate them and we know our customers do as well. During office hours
( with a few rare exceptions) you will always be greeted by a member of
the Spectra team.
2. We will always call you back when we say we will ! We all hate it
when someone says " I'll ring you back with that answer." and
then you hear nothing. Even if we do not yet have an answer - we will
call and say so letting you, our customer know exactly what we are doing
on your behalf.
3. We do what we say ! In big and bold type on our quotations. We will
not use small, 'Can't read' light grey type on the back of a sales invoice
or quotation. We set out in clear language
- What we will do.
- How we will do it.
- How much it will cost.
This applies to our Service contracts, Quotations, Correspondence with
costs and faxes. We have lost count of the number of times we have been
congratulated for this approach. It means so much to us, so we know it
means a lot to you.
4. We will always be large enough to cope and small enough to care. Both
Barry and Douglas share the same views and have very fixed ideas on this
subject. They always want to be in touch with our customers and products.
It is only by taking an enthusiastic, active interest that you can have
a company like ours. We don't need to tell you how some companies arrange
customer service - You already know - so do we ! That's why our formula
works.
